Psalms 19 Gospel
Psalms 19 is known as one of the most referenced passages about the Word of God. Recently while reading the first part, I started to wonder why Paul decided to reference this part in Romans 10 while he was speaking about the spread of the Gospel. Then I started to think--What can we learn from Psalms 19 to better understand the nature of our Gospel?
I can think of two features of our Gospel:
1-Maybe our testimony should be
universal similar to the creation which is declaring the glory of God.
Everybody who lives has a chance to see the creation and think how magnificent
the Creator must be. Similarly, all nations should have a chance to hear the
gospel and think how loving their Creator must be.
2-Maybe our testimony should be
spread everywhere. Nothing is hidden from the sun’s heat; nothing should be
hidden from the reach of the gospel.
Impossible Task?
I know this sounds like an impossible
task to achieve, but by the grace of God who created the sun and made its light
reach everywhere, we can trust our God who created us and strengthened us
to have his gospel heard everywhere.
Pray with me:
Please join me in praying
that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:38). And that God would grant us that with all boldness we may
speak his word (Acts 4:30). I want to encourage you today because God listens to
this prayer as in Acts 4:31, “they were all filled with the Holy
Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” He said, “Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them ......I am with
you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
You are not alone; so take your place
and shine God’s Gospel everywhere!
